                                      1．  Types of context

         1)Extra-linguistic context

     It is also called non-linguistic context, which includes people, place, time, relevant objects, background knowledge etc..

2)Linguistic context

    It refers to all the words that go before or come after the word in question. 

2．  Roles of context

1)Elimination of ambiguity

2)Indication of referents

3)Providing clues for inferring meanings such as:

     (3)Examples                (4)Synonymy

     (5)Antonymy                (6)Hyponymy
